The Abbingdon guest house is run by husband and wife team, Tony & Alison, and our lazy cat!
We are situated in a popular location just a short walking distance from the fabulous York Minster, the main shopping area and other attractions.
Here at the Abbingdon we work to a very high standard and pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our rooms and the quality of service offered.
Guests are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome in our comfortable and cosy establishment.
Check-in time is generally between 12 noon and 7pm but you can of course arrive earlier and drop off your luggage. If you do happen to arrive before 12 and the room is ready, we will of course give you the keys.
We try our best to be as flexible as possible so late arrivals can be accommodated providing it has been arranged with us beforehand.
Guests are given their own front door key/room key and are encouraged to come and go as they please.
Our only request is that noise is kept to a minimum if returning after 10pm in respect of others.
On the day of departure we ask that all rooms are vacated by 10.30am to allow us to prepare them for new arrivals.
If you are arriving by car we supply Free on-street parking permits.
Please note that during busy periods (Festivals, Summer hols etc) vehicles may need to be parked further up the road where extra spaces are available.
Situated on the top floor is a fridge equipped with fresh milk for guests. We also encourage you to store your own food & drinks in the fridge.
An iron and ironing board can be supplied free of charge (and you can do our ironing if you like too!!!)
Need to check your emails? Want to surf the Net? No problem, we have free Wi Fi.
For those with no laptop you are welcome to use our PC at certain times during the day.
