Travelling is a favourite pastime for many of us and here in the UK we are blessed with so many wonderful places to see and visit. Finding suitable accommodation though can often be a nightmare so we have linked up with several establishments around the British Isles in an attempt to save you the hassle of trawling through endless websites.
The guest houses we list are merely suggestions and although we have not stayed at any of the guest houses ourselves, all appear to offer excellent value and comfortable accommodation.
With its breathtaking scenery, Scotland is always worth a visit and the city of Edinburgh is perfect for a short break with its magnificent castle dominating the skyline (www.edinburghcastle.biz) and the now retired Royal Yacht Britannia permantley moored at Edinburgh's historic port of Leith (www.royalyachtbritannia).
Cambridge is another popular destination for tourists with its historic university and diverse range of buildings. The humble bicycle plays a major role in the transport system in and around the flat landscape of Cambridge, and so do the punts (flat-bottomed boat) which leisurely ferry visitors and locals up and down the River Cam.

Stratford-Upon-Avon is of course world famous as being the birthplace of William Shakespeare and as a result attracts around three million visitors a year. To be, or not to be (planning a trip to Stratford): that is the question . . . . and you'd be daft not to!
